Twisted Sister Concert Review

Twisted Sister Concert Review

Hey Rockers, so we had the fun opportunity to go and see Twisted Sister perform last night, and hey man, what a show! Opening act was Slaughter who seriously brought the Metal and some scary fun with a creepy circus theme. Not only did they ROCK - LOUD, but the drummer Jordan Cannata who likens himself to "Animal" from the "Muppets" put on one heck of a performance as he beat his drums almost to death, including an acrobatic stunt of standing on his drum stool with one foot and playing his ride cymbal with the other foot while still playing the drums in a fantastic epic Solo! Thank you, Jordan.

After a fun opening with Slaughter, Mark Slaughter - lead vocals, rhythm guitar, Dana Strum, bass and backup vocals, and of course Jeff "Blando" Bland, lead guitar, backup vocals, we were onto the show we were dying to see! The headliners themselves, Twisted Sister!

This was our first time ever getting see Twisted Sister live, and sure, it would have been great to have seen them back in the 80's, but hey, such is life. No matter how much I would love to tell you I got to see every great 80's and 70's band perform during my relatively short / long lifetime, I just haven't had the chance. Even so, getting to see Twisted Sister perform live at a really fun outdoor venue was so worth it. They played and performed so well, even without Dee Snider who is not touring at this time.

But they brought the show with a great replacement, Sebastian Bach as the lead singer and very enthusiastic showman. (Sebastian Bach you may remember is originally from Skid Row and is one of the best Rock n Roll vocalists still performing today.) Mr. Bach is very entertaining, cool, and funny, definitely someone you'd want to hang out with if you were able.

They put on a great show with almost perfect sound, the whole thing went off without a hitch. They played all the hits, including "You can't stop rock n roll", "the kids are back" "the beast" "ride to live, live to ride" and several others. All great songs, all great fun, and they even included a couple from Skid Row, "Youth Gone Wild" and "I Remember You." As we rocked out and had a great time the show was coming to a close. I was so excited to hear my favorite Twisted Sister song ever, "We're Not Gonna' Take it", and they did it! It was their last song, and it was so worth the wait. If I ever get to go to a Twisted Sister concert again, I will!
